FX1 Editor v1.02 (Mac)
FX1 Editor v1.02 (Mac)
Release History

Version 1.00 to 1.02

(1) Menu OPTIONS > INSTANT ACCESS SWITCH SETTINGS bug fixed.
(2) Fixed a bug which wouldn't allow the Global Preset to be edited and wouldn't allow the user to change tabs (Songs, Setlists and FX1) when the Global Preset was selected while in the Presets tab.

System Requirements

(1) Apple Mac OSX 10.4+ Intel/PPC
(2) 1024x768 Min. Display Resolution
(3) MIDI Interface - We have tested; ESI M4U, Edirol UM-1EX, Edirol UM-2EX, M-Audio MIDIsport Uno, M-Audio MIDIsport 2x2, M-Audio Audiophile 2496, MOTU Traveler, MOTU FastLane, MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV and Tascam US-122.

Installation Instructions

(1) Save the *.JAR file you're about to download to a temporary directory on your hard-disk.
(2) Go to http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp and click on "Verify Installation" to check that you have the latest version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed on your computer, if not, download and install it before continuing.
(3) If you are upgrading from an earlier version of the FX1 Editor, we recommend that you uninstall the previous version first using the uninstaller located in the same directory as the FX1 Editor. Be sure to backup your data file(s) before you uninstall, just in case.
(4) Run the *.JAR file you downloaded and saved in Step #1 and follow the on-screen instructions.

Early Firmware Limitation(s)

FX1 firmware versions earlier than v1.14 do not support the FX1 Editor commands for FILE > SEND DATA TO FX1 and FILE > GET DATA FROM FX1. Therefore, before using the FX1 Editor to upgrade your FX1's firmware to v1.14, we recommend that you initiate a SysEx Data Dump to the FX1 Editor from the FX1 as outlined in the FX1 User Manual in Section 16.7 - Data Dump/Load. Make sure the FX1 Editor is running before you initiate the SysEx Data Dump on the FX1 so that if you have everything connected properly and the FX1 Editor has its MIDI I/O configured properly, it will provide you with a progress bar as soon as it starts receiving the SysEx Data Dump from the FX1. Don't forget to do a FILE > SAVE AS of the data onto your hard-disk before upgrading the FX1 firmware.
